I had a car loan through them and paid it off in February of 2008, but I was struggling to pay the high payment so I had many late payments. Is their anyway to have them remove this account from my reports or what should/can I do?

This account was from when my ex-girlfriend and I broke up, I let her keep it in my name and she left me with this balance. My cousin had a collection with AFNI....after payment....I sent a GW letter via email...and it was deleted....I don't know if they do PFD upfront....but it's wortha shot...

Both of the above accounts are the same student loan. I tried disputing as duplicates, but they keep coming back verified. Is this a duplicate....or the OC and CA reporting???...if it is a duplicate you would have to send a copy of the report with the 2 TLs....highlight the duplicate...explaining it is a dupicate....and ask for removal...

This account lists no collection agency name and is only on my Transunion report. I would contact Progressive and see if you PIF...will they pull the account out of collections....and delete the entire TL from your TU report...

This account was from when my ex-girlfriend and I broke up, I let her keep it in my name and she left me with this balance. I would call Time Warner and ask if they will still accept payment...and demand the collection be deleted from your reports...

This was my 1st credit card and has already fallen off 2 of my reports. It is scheduled to be removed from Experian in July of 2009. The drop date should be the same on all three reports....maybe a little difference...look backon your EX reports to see if it has been reaged...
1) HSBC Auto
I had a car loan through them and paid it off in February of 2008, but I was struggling to pay the high payment so I had many late payments. Is their anyway to have them remove this account from my reports or what should/can I do? Do not ask for the TL to be removed....simply send a GW letter....or call and ask for the late notations to be removed....explain to them your wonderful experience with them...and how the account is now PIF...
I just wanted to update on my report clean up.
AFNI - would not PFD, but I paid and sent GW letters to which they deleted on 1st letter sent to them.
RJM - allowed me to PFD for less then the full balance and it has since been deleted from my reports.
Capital One - Fell off my reports this month.
Time Warner - I sent an email to the CEO who sent me to another person who pulled it back from CMI and allowed me to PFD. CMI would not do it no matter what I tried. It is now off my reports thanks to Time Warner.
The rest of them I am still religously sending GW letters with no luck. Credit Colection Services is the one who owns Progressive Insurance collection and they have not responded to GW or PFD letters at this point. Going try Progressive today.
I hope that helps some people know with perstance there is a light at the end!
