Need advice on best way to pay this collection

Had a collection agency add a new debt to my report in July.

I tracked this back to an ER visit for my son. Called the hospital and she agreed to take the $174 payment and call the the collection agency to let them know debt was paid.

She said it would be up to collection to update CR to paid or to remove entirely.

I want to settle this, but i also want this removed entirely from my report.

How should I handle this?

Sounds like you need to send a GW letter to the CA with proof of payment from the OC. Send it and hope for the best.

Well i paid it after a Supervisor told me if i paid in full today they would retract collection and it should be off my reports in about a week

I hope so!
