Need advice on handling CA!

Hello!

I know I made a mistake somewhere along the way but I need to know where and how to correct it.

So I made arrangements to start making payments on a CA.

I gave them my debit card information but lost it before my first payment even came out. However, I kept my promise on the payments $88 but I've been sending $100 every 2 weeks on time, yadi yadi yadi...

Now just yesterday I received a letter by mail stating I did not keep my "arrangements" on the a payments. So they want me to pay another $89 plus $35 transaction fee ($124 total). Not sure if they're going to keep doing this until they have my account information. (Which I'm not giving out anymore)

Not sure what to do.

Can someone please help me!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Need advice on handling CA!

I am a little confused.  You say you gave them your debit card information but lost it.........

Who lost it the CA?  That is not your problem, it is theirs.  And if you kept making payments as agreed, what can they possibly want.

I would ask them for an itemized accounting of your account.

Re: Need advice on handling CA!

Sounded like OP lost the actual debit card and had to have it replaced with a new one, which would change its number and the CA couldn't charge it.

Re: Need advice on handling CA!

If you lost your debit card and the CA could not charge it, that is where these charges are coming from.  Did you notify them?

At any rate, you still paid them.  I don't know the legality of the charges they are saying you owe.

You need to make sure they are giving you credit for the mailed in payments.

Re: Need advice on handling CA!

In most cases, I would not advise calling a CA.

But you have a current payment account agreement with them.

I would call them and reconcile any payment disputes/payment terms  that exist.

Re: Need advice on handling CA!

If you notified them and still made payments they are just trying to get more out of you.

I would send them a letter and tell them that you have fulfilled your end of the agreement now they need to fulfill theirs.  Those arrangements should be binding.
