My ex is beginning the BK process and some company has skip-traced my number and can't understand plain english when I say not to call.
I definitely don't need the stress of it at this point. I'm too worried about my kids and other stuff to field calls from them.
Why can't I find HP Locate's address anywhere? Do these people work out of a coffee shop?!

Just send them a simple cease communications letter like this:
Dear JDB,
I am writing in response to the numerous telephone calls and robocalls which you have placed to my telephone XXX-XXX-XXXX.
Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act § 805(c), I am instructing you to cease communications immediately.
Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act § 805(b), I am also instructing you to also cease communications as no third parties reside at the location you are calling.
Please give this request immediate attention, and also know that I am continuing to log and monitor your calls. Should you choose to not take action to stop calling as instructed, I will file legal action for violations of FDCPA.
Sincerely,
Pizzadude
Thanks!
Should I fax it to their corporate number? I realy don't want them having my home address.
Jake
If they know your phone # then chances are they have your address as well.
Probably wouldn't hurt to fax it but if you send it smail mail certified/return receipt then you'll have proof if they keep calling...
GREAT letter Pizza -- and I think maybe you should do both -- FAX and send a certified letter. You want them to get the message to go pound sand.
