Need assistance with old Cingular account

Its being reported by 3 different CRA's on my credit report. I want to say this was back in 2002 when this all went down.  2 accounts for the same amount and 1 account for a different amount. I know its all the same account. I've been reading horror stories about AFNI/old Cingular on getting anything done. What is the best way to handle this?

CA= Collection Agency

Anderson Fin Network/Bloom = AFNI.

Are all 3 of these reporting on the same report? Are these reporting on all 3 reports?

Is Cingular reporting also?

Have you ever gotten a letter from them?

You say it is from back in 2002, have you made a payment since? If not, it should be beyond SOL.

I would send a DV to both AFNI and Pentagroup.

No - they are not reporting it.

Have not gotten a letter from Cingular. Should I Cingular and ask them to verify the date?

I haven't made a payment since. I wasn't aware I had a balance due when I canned my account.  I have to think about when I did this.

SOL on cell phones is 2 years.

If beyond 2 years or you can PIF, I would send a DV letter CMRRR to all companies reporting.

Fantastic.

I called up Cingular and talked to them. The account was closed on Aug 11 04 (ok so I was off a bit) and it was sold on June 11 2005.
