Need help with First Premier Paid Account

Hello, hope you could help me! So I too have a FPB closed/charged account which has been paid in full. The representative tried to tell me that it will not be deleted. Now, why would you keep something on my credit report that has been resolved!?! It's irritating, because I know that every item that gets deleted jumps your credit score immensely, well it has for me, lol. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Now, speaking directly with a Transunion representative, she informed me that if I simply get a letter from them that she can process the deletion. I'm stuck and I'm so ready to literally curse them out!!! Any feedback will help! Thanks!!
