Never asked for CLI, frozen credit

I was paying my Walmart card online and noticed they had doubled my CL. This is a good thing I guess, but I never requested it and I have my CR frozen. Do they just randomly do this without pulling credit? I've only had the card for about 3 months, used it a few times and paid it down, almost in full, if nothing else it helps my util %!!

Re: Never asked for CLI, frozen credit

Freezing your report only keeps future creditors from pulling your report, not ones you have a current relationship with.

They don't need written permission, you have a current relationship with them and they have PP.

+1

Also, GERCB, the backing bank for this card, is known for giving fast and generous CLIs. And their automatic CLI (in fact, I believe all their CLIs) are given with soft pulls. So be glad. This is a good thing.
