I've been dealing for some time with one final nasty blemish. A CO that was on my Experian. It didn't seem to be hurting too bad, but was there the same. It was a CO from HSBC. They had it listed as occurring in 2011, I had it listed as occurring in 2007. I had actually paid it several years ago, but was just looming in that dark area on my Experian CR.
Well, after many cordial back and forths, me saying it's wrong, them saying it's right.... it's now gone. well, not gone, but updated. They removed all negative information from the tradeline, it is now an old account in good standing! I couldn't believe it. I got a bit of a bump, but not much. But at least it's a clean report. Now I might even reopen trade with them. But anyway, like the subject line refers to, never stop trying!
WTG!!!!
Grats to getting the goodwill
Congrats. Persistence is the key.
That is kind of nice and unexpected, congratulations!

Congratulations Shogun, it is always great to see some good news on these forums. The same thing happened to me with an old HSBC charge off. I disputed it because it was showing a balance and the updated it on Experian as paid and closed. The only thing that bothered me was that in the comment section it said "sold to another lender" or something of the sort, but I guess that is ok as Capital One took them over. I did contact Experian with my concerns and they said that it is a positive closed account. I got the same account removed from Transunion (it was a negative then) and I still have that account showing as a negative on Equifax, but I should be able to get an early exclusion on that when we get into May.
Congratulations, Shogun. I bet that feels great!
That's fantastic! Great job
