Re: New Here, Need help repairing my credit

if i were you i would wrap the whole bunch of letter and stamp plus start looking for some address( on your credit report) and send Debt Validation to all of them........Dispute with 3 credit bureau about those account that most recently example in 2007 2008 2009. But remember only list one or 2 in your dispute each letter. State as its not mine or stuff....and about your Original Creditor you can sent them a 623 letters. You would see most of them going to drop off work from there going to cost you about 30 to 45 days. then whatever you had left.

2 Capital 1 CC's with DOFD's of 10/2005

 Debt Validation

Circuit City CC with DOFD of 06/2006

Old Navy CC with DOFD of 05/2006

Best Buy CC with DOFD of 10/2005

Kay 's CC with DOFD of 05/2006

Maurices CC with DOFD of 2/2006

PYOD LLC OC was Old Navy. DOFD of 11/2005

3 Asset Assurance LLC with OC's of Best Buy, Maurices, Captial One with DOFD's of 02/2006 03/2006 and 10/2005

Progressive Insuarnce Collection with DOFD of  02/2006

623 letters

4 Medical Bills with DOFD's of 07/2009 02/2008 09/2007 09/2005

Thats a lot of letter you had to sent my friend but keep working on it and your paid back should be soon. I cost me about 4 months from now but i got much better from when i start. Plus my file thin and not that much to working on like you. Good Luck

Re: New Here, Need help repairing my credit

I haven't made payments or paid on those 17 accounts listed above at all. The other 3 I have where traffic tickets which I paid in full and are still listed on there.

the other 2 I have are my car loan which is current and up to date and I pay it monthly as well as 2 CC's. Both are capital one's. They have both been payed on time for the last year now.

So not really sure what your asking by which of them have been paid, I hope I answered it clearly.

a handful of those have small balances and are medical bills which could be payed off quickly.

so the 17 accounts listed above still have balances left on them.

Since they were charged off from the OC to CA, should the OC entires be on my report, or only the ones for the CA's. It lists 21 accounts and a high total balance because it lists both the OC's and CA's.

Hopefully I answered that question clear enough.

Re: New Here, Need help repairing my credit

Yes the OC can still be on your CR, they will drop off the same time as the CAs since they will have the same DOFD.  Why I was asking if they were paid or not is because just because they will age off your CR, doesn't mean they go away.  A CA can still legally try to collect on them until paid.   Difference is they can't sue you past the SOL and they can't report to your CR.

Re: New Here, Need help repairing my credit

The SOL for my state is 6 years. So to answer your question,  I haven't paid on any of those in a very long time.

So once they fall off my CR, would they still affect my credit score even if they weren't listed. So would my score go up if they fell off?

Since its past my SOL for my state, is it even worth pursing them and sending letters? trying to pay them off? Or should I just leave them alone?

Anything I can do to get the paid collections off of my report? GW letters maybe?

Also any advice you have on where I should start to get my score back up?

Re: New Here, Need help repairing my credit

No.. once they fall off they will not report or affect your FICO score.  I've heard some say that a mortgage of like 150K or something around there can go back beyond that but I don't know.  I did a mortgage for more than that a year ago, they just pulled my scores and sailed through.

In answer to your other question, yes, GW the paid ones!

Re: New Here, Need help repairing my credit

I was reviewing my TU credit report and I noticed something on it. Next to my Chase - Circuit City and HSBC - Best Buy the pay status says >Account paid in full; was a collection<

Does that mean I could have it removed? or is it only showing that because a CA bought the debt?

if a CA bought the date, then why don't my other derogatory accounts show that for the status? Only those 2 accounts above show it.

Also is their any way to get rid of paid tax liens from my report?

I'm looking into GW letters now to see if I can get my paid

Also, do you think in this picutre here, that the top and bottom collection could be the same one and its just duplicated on there?
