I recently had a new CC added to my report. The initial ne TL gave me a nice increase. One month later and it has reported again with a first usage and on time payment.
I was recently at 0% utilization and now I am well under 10%. It's my only active TL.
From everything I read and what I was told, having the positive on time payments every month would help my score, but it actually dropped.
I use transunions credit monitoring service. I know it's a vantage score, but the daily pulls help me stay up to date on what's happening on my report. I also use Myfico SW but there is no notification there.
Should I just pay off my balance completely and never touch it again? I did just get an increase from 3to 700 which helps with utilization.
If your FICO score didn't drop I wouldn't be overly concerned.
You are not rewarded for on time payments, those are expected of you. You will lose points if you don't pay on time though.
Even though it is your only active TL, your AAoA could have changed, gotten older.
Because it is your only CC you may need to play around and see what works best for you.

My SW just posted the change in balance. No change in credit score. Vantage score had me scared.
How much of a drop was the Vantage?
