New need help

Hello everyone
I'm new to fico and just subscribed to score watch and got my equifax score (642) this is what it looks like.
3) collections unpaid and don't say to who but I'm sure it's medical

1st Original balance  $219
Date assigned    July,01,2002
Date reported     April 01,2008
Date last active  Sep 01, 2001

2nd Original balance $487
Date assigned    Aug 01,2002
Date reported    April 01, 2008
Date last active  Nov 01, 2001

3rd Original balance $487
Date assigned    Aug 01,2002
Date reported    April 01, 2004
Date last active  Nov 01, 2001

On a positive note I have 3 accounts in good standing 1 with 0 balance and 2 auto joint with life partner who has helped me get a credit score because I started out with a score of 0 three years ago. What should I do now one of these has to be a duplicate but I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. I need a new lawn tractor, think lowes would approve me with a down payment?

First, I would recommend getting your hard copies of your credit reports from each of the CRA's. They will have complete info needed for your disputes. It does look like you have a duplicate reporting though. You may be able to dispute it as a duplicate account to have it removed if that is the case.

I'm not sure on Lowes, since I have no experience with them.

Re: New need help

Update to original post. Ok I have all 3 CR that was done on 1/29/2008.   Equifax report on 1/29/2008 says Negative accounts 0 Collections 1 but these 3 collections are showing on my report. The $487 collection that looks like a duplicate has 2 different account numbers one with hospital (date of 1st delinquency 10/2001) and one with CA with creditor as hospital ( date of 1st delinquency 10/2001 )  Equifax score was 642 on Jan, 29 2008 also.

Transunion report on Jan 29, 2008
$219 medical placed for collection on 7/2002 estimated date item will be removed 8/2008
$487 medical placed for collection on 8/2002 estimated date item will be removed 9/2008

$111 medical placed for collection on 6/2001 estimated date item will be removed 5/2008
This isn't one isn't one any other report. Could they be reporting wrong amount on equifax and making it look like a duplicate collection?

Experian
$219 medical  Date opened 7/2002 scheduled to continue on record until 6/2008

Re: New need help

Good news is they are all very close to falling off.

Bad news is that both OC and one CA can report on a baddie.

Re: New need help

I wouldn't do anything.  IF you pay it then you start the statute of reporting it over.  Let it fall off at the end of this year.

Paying a delinquent account never restarts the reporting time period.  A common misconception.

CRTP is based on DOFD.  Period.  Making a payment does not reset DOFD.
