Just wanted to say thank you and I have learned so much so far. Some of my small successes include: getting LVNV Funding removed from all 3 CR (BBB worked), adding revolving credit to my CR, and learning how to properly maximize my score using the utilization methods mentioned here))) I still have a lot of work to do but the small victories definitely motivate!!!

I have a collections account with LVNV Funding...but for whatever reason it's reporting as an installment account. What the heck is up with that???

LVNV is famous for this. Some CAs recently have started reporting as "factoring companies" and list tradlines as active debts instead of collections. I am not 100% sure, but I think this is illegal and improper reporting. Many people have had these removed completely by reporting them to their state Attorney General and the BBB.
