I recently disputed an account that was showing up on my cr after a ch. 7 bk with all 3 agencies. The dispute seemed pretty straight forward to me since the collection was included in my bk and should be marked as $0 balance iib.
Well Experian is the first one to finish the dispute and not only did they keep it as a collection but they updated the dates and now it appears as a fresh collection as of feb 2014. The account is several years old and was clearly included in my bk.
So my question is what to do next? Can I dispute a dispute? I'm pretty confused as to how they could get this wrong and update it as a current collection since the account was from 2009 and my bk was discharged in 2012.
So what can I do? Any suggestions??
