Mornin'
I just purchased a credit report from Equifax site. All of my collections have been removed as promised in the last few days. Yet Myfico.com has not sent me any alerts or anything. I know that my score would bump up. As it bumped up 12 points last week when I paid off a collection. I am suppose to pre qual for a mortgage soon and I need to make sure I hit my target score. Should I just be patient and wait? I do have one free report/ score update but I hate to use it prematurely.
I realize it could depend on my settings. The collections are updated every month and so I doubt that would trigger an alert but I have my settings set to notify me if my score moves up by one point.
Thanks for any insight or advice.

Score watch will not tell you if you had collections removed. In regards to a score jump, it depends on what else you might have on your credit report. Score Watch also monitors for score changes, accounts added, personal info change, etc every 7-10 days
Thank you. At first I thought score watch updated anytime there is a change. However I get weekly emails telling me there was no change for the week. So scorewatch may just be a few days behind on updating the score if there is a score change? My score has jumped 50 + in a month already. I have to admit I am a little obsessed with this credit business. I want instant gratification which I know will not happen on myfico.com So I use Creditkarma to get my daily fix. ha

I use both Score Watch and myFCO quarterly monitoring(TU) and yes, the site is very addicting lol. I closed out my facebook account for this.
Also, paying a collection does not positively impact your FICO score. So, must've been another reason for the bump. (Better util, longer history, etc)
Enjoy your daily fix on Credit Karma while you can. They are changing it to wkly updates.
