I sent two direct disputes to Porffolio Recovery one in Feb and a second in May and neither got a response. I sent them before I did research and sent them regular mail. Now they are claiming that no dispute was ever received. I have a complaint in with the CFPB. WHat are my chances of them being able to do anything since they did not respond, now I know that I should send CMRRR
Without sending it CMRRR, it's a your word against theirs. I don't know of any recourse.
