Yay! I finally got an update from myfico and score increase to 584! 40 points in 2 months. Wouldn't have done it without his forum! I just got the courage to apply for the famous Walmart credit card. It will send me a notice in 7 days if approved or denied. Praying its an approval with a decent cl. Will let you guys know if they approve someone like me! ![]()

I'm convinced I swear but what kinda score would help my chances of getting it?
Well I did a search on another board and the lowest score approved was 603 on TU for a $300 CL. But that is a start because the card will grow.

Hubby and I both got approved for a Walmart card and his TU is 590 on here. However, its TU08 with them is 638. So don't get down in the dumps yet. Also, my approval was at 598 on here and 641 on their TU08. When I apped I was approved instantly for 600CL, and hubby got the letter. When the letter came, it was a 'fraud protection' notice and he just had to call in and confirm his identity. He called in and his was already approved for a 600CL as well, and they just wanted verification of his identity before mailing out the card.

Walmart uses TU 08. If you have older baddies, and nothing recent, 08 seems to score higher than the 98 version used by My FICO.

Oh sorry to hear that. But you should be a shoe in with them once you get your score over 600. It's not that far away for you. Do you have any high utilization that could be keeping your score down?
