I did 5 inquiries during this month of rebuilding because my credit score through equifax seemed to support getting at least one line of credit somewhere. It is showing as 701 on MyFICO through Equifax only. I have been denied over and over again like a leper.
Then I looked into CareCredit. My son needs braces. I figured I could get him some braces and build my credit at the same time. According to the Credit Pulls Database they pull Equifax and people have been approved with 620 scores. I should be a shoe in with a 701 score right? Wrong. They pull Transunion and I have a 580. Denied. SO frustrating lol.
So now I have 6 pulls on Transunion and 4 on Equifax and the only thing I have to show for it is a $180 Fingerhut Fresh Start account.
I think I need to slow down and not apply anymore for a very long time. So frustrated that I can't be approved but I just started. I know patience is the name of the game. I'm done applying for a while.
I know it gets discouraging, but don't give up. Is there anything that can be done to clean up those CRs?

My Equifax is clean. Not sure why I got denied for equifax too even though my score is in 700's. Must be just that I don't have the credit history behind it.
I'm working on my TU and EX reports. It's slow moving.
Seems like stuff goes on at the speed of light, and comes off at the speed of dark. Good Luck!
