Yes, they sold the debt, not the account.

 

You still have a valid, open account with BoA.  Closed accounts in good standing last 10 years from the date closed, closed accounts with negative standing last 7 years + 180 days from the DOFD.

 

Your best bet is to GW that account from BoA, however I will warn they are not the easiest to get a GW out of.

I see.  So do the creditors look at my first charge off date or the recent date?
