I have one item that reports twice on all of my credit reports -
OC is Santander, who eventually sold my account to a junk buyer
CA is Mainstreet.
Thanks to a dispute, Santander finally shows a $0 balance, while Mainstreet shows the "original balance"
TU has a little line on the reports that says Estimated month and year that this item will be removed
On the Santander account, it says 09/2013
On the Mainstreet account, it says 03/2015
Both show the DoFD as April 2008. (So to me 2015 would be closer to right....)
Why? How do I get this updated? The dispute process did NOT fix this inconsistency.
Thanks
If the DoFD is April 2008 it actually would have an exlclusion date of Oct 2015, which is the maximum it could report.
Those "fall off dates" are estimates by the CRAs and can be incorrect.
If it is showing those dates, I would leave it alone. Both are in your favor. They normally do not include the 180 days.

How are they in his favor if they are 2 years apart for the same debt?
Because one is scheduled to be excluded 2 years early and the other several months early.
