Finally, after months......ok, a year and a half....of hard, hard work, I finally feel like I have made the jump from bad credit to decent credit! In March of this year, I was pleasently surprised when Capital One EO increased my measly $300 card to $1200 and my credit union approved me for a $2000 limit card. I did an app spree via shopping card trick and was approved for VS & Gap/Old Navy. I am a flight attendant and travel ALOT, so I have always wanted the SWA Chase Rapid Reward Card to be able to reep the benefits of my travels. In March of this year, I also applied for it and got denied...even through Recon, denied, denied, denied. Fast forward to yesterday, I decided to call back and reapply since 6 months had passed. After what seemed like FOREVER on hold, guess what I heard?! "Ma'am? I am pleased to inform you we are able to offer you our credit card with a credit limit of $5000!" YEP! $5000! Can you say "Happy Dance"?!!!
Finally, I feel like I can breath. Now, just need to sit back and garden....It can be done! Just stick to it, stay on top of things and good things WILL happen!!
Exciting....Great for you

I was also 'denied, denied, denied' for the Chase SW Rapid Rewards card about a month ago. Can I ask, did you have any prior baddies with Chase?
Congrats on your huge approval!
No baddies with Chase. I heard that if you have "too many" new accounts opened within a 6 month period that they would deny. So, I waited until exactly 6 months to reapply.
Nice! I am holding out from apping for that specific card. Congrats on the approval!!!!
Good for you! You give me hope!
