No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I have a couple of old charge off accounts; Barclays bank and Capital One. I have called both of them to try and settle/PFD but they no longer have the debt but have turned them over (or sold them) to collections. I haven't heard from either collection agency for payment.
I would really like to get these two negs removed from my credit reports, but not sure what to do. Should i contact the collection agencies and pay, although there is no collection activity on my credit reports. Any advise on how to get Barclays and Cap One to delete from my credit reports?
Thank you for any advise!!!
Contact the CA's and offer PFD's
The CA's will show on your CR's along with address and phone in some cases
Good luck
Until the new owner reports or sends dunning notice, you are in limbo.
You need their name and adress to either send a DV or make offers to negotiate a settlement, which could include their agreement not to report to the CRAs.
Your source now would be to obtain that info from the OC.
Thank you! However, neither of the collection agencies are reporting on my credit report. Only the original creditors; Barclays and Cap One. I'd really like Barclays and Cap One removed from my credit report, but they wont accept payment (PFD) since they no longer hold the debt.
Thank you! I can get their names from the original creditors and I'm happy to settle/pay, but then how would i go about getting Barclays and Cap One to delete? Goodwill letter? Thanks again!

the only thing you can do to get the oc accounts off your cr is to wait the 7 1/2 years until they must be excluded. you can try to gw them in the meantime.
