In 2009 I went to Victoria's Secret with my sister and in order to get a discount I applied for a store card. However, the cashier told me that I was declined and that I would receive a letter in the mail stating the reason why.
I looked at my credit report for the first time last week now that I'm rebuilding and among my accounts is a Victoria's Secret card! The only explanation I can think of is that they needed longer to review my credit history and decided to grant me credit.
I've never used this card--I didn't even know this account existed until four years later! But on my credit report, it shows a credit limit of $250. The account description says "Charge." And the current status says "pays account as agreed."
Is it possible that this line of credit is still open and available? After four years of never having used it? I have a credit card that was closed by Discover but it doesn't show the credit limit and the account description says that it was closed by credit grantor.
Yes, it's possible. Contact them and ask.
