I have a repo that was charged off in 2012. DofD was 9/2011 I have sent PFD letter offering 745 or the 4950 I owe. Is that the only route i can take to remove this from my credit?
Only way is to dispute it due to inaccuracies or come to a pay-for-delete agreement with them. Make sure you get everything in writing first.
Has it gone to a CA or is it still with the OC? What was the OC if you don't mind.
You might consider offering a higher percentage of the debt as additional incentive for them to grant credit report deletion.
How important is obtaining removal from your credit report/scoring prior to it normal exclusion in late 2018?
