Got an update yesterday that my formerly Consumer Credit Counseled JCP CC showed paid off and my score jumped 14 points. I was pretty darned surprised! I got another alert today that a CCC Household Bank CC paid off with no increase in points, but it only had a small balance. I have 2 more cards that I paid off in that round, so it will be interesting to watch the next few weeks if there are any changes.
I'm still waiting on the IRS to pull off the paid tax lien and I sent a "shot in the dark" letter to the CRAs for a paid state tax lien citing the word "cancelled" on the lien release. I'm hoping that works and it gets pulled. After that, it's a matter of starting the process on the medical collections and then the only "baddies" will be some lates, mostly from Jan-Mar 2008, so hopefully those will decrease in score impact over the next 6 months or so.
