One late payment = negative acct?

looking at my report from here, my VW acct is flagged as negative because of one 30 day late in dec 2008.  I'm still investigating whether or not I actually was late.  However, is this negative 'flag' something only on the consumer version of FICO?  Meaning, is a lender also going to see this acct marked as 'negative'?  I'll continue to work on getting the late removed, but it still doesn't seem quite right that one late payment on a 3 yr installment loan that was paid off over a year early would make the entire TL 'negative'.

That 30 day late has done most of it's damage to your scores.  After 2 years they lose almost all their sting.

Re: One late payment = negative acct?

I think I know what you're saying.  If you mean the Red Flag on myFico and the fact that it is listed under "Negative Accounts" then that is more myFico trying to organize your accounts for you.  Like Shogun said it's pretty much done hurting your score after two years.  I would think the more important part is the description on your CR where it says (hopefully) "Pays Account as Agreed".  Can't speak to whether or not this would negatively impact your Auto Enhanced score though...
