Onwards and upwards

I started my journey in earnest in the middle of February with low-600 scores.

I had an old collection (GW deleted now), and some bad lates (still have them, some are FedLoan so they won't come off any time soon). I had one credit card that was almost maxed out entirely ($2900/$3000). After reading this forum like crazy, I now have 3 additional cards and $16,000 in CL with a UTI below 9%.

Wednesday marks almost 3 months and my first 700 score (EX). I'm inching closer to the personal goal I set myself and I hope to reach it by August!

Thanks to all of the posters on this forum, I'm extremely lucky to have stumbled across this community. You guys are awesome!

Starting Scores: EQ - 624/TU - 627/EX - 645 (2/10/17)
Current Scores: EQ - 723/TU - 728/EX - 736 (5/8/18)
Goal Scores: 725 on all

Congrats!

you say util is 9% or under, is that on average, or on any one tradeline?

9% total, working on getting it to the 0% on 3 and less than 9% on one.

Current Scores: EQ - 723/TU - 728/EX - 736 (5/8/18)

Re: Onwards and upwards

Your highest utilization on one card, if over 9%, may affect your score negatively so getting them all down to zero except one line under 9% (but not zero) will max out your score portion for utilization.  Great work!
