How do I rectify???
I opened a dispute on a debt with a collection agency with "I am no longer liable for this collection" as the reasoning. I also put a comment regarding the Original Creditor be able to confirm this, and to have Equifax validate the debt (something along those lines)
now, under the comment section of the account , the reasoning is "Consumer says acct is responsibility of separated or divorced spouse".
This is definitely not the reason I disputed this. i don't even have an Ex!
How do I get tell them that isn't the reason I am disputing??? Obviously, they are going to see that I don't have an ex!!!
