Re: Operation: Get Mortgage 2017 - Mission: Rebuild Credit

The good:

A lot of your very worst is old enough to be falling off your reports by next year.  The Repos and possibly the judgement will be off the record.  That said, I'd check on your state's laws regarding judgement collection and renewal--that one may still be an issue.

The medical collections while a pain, aren't as big a factor in some mortgages, and they are older.

The bad:

I am right there with you with several SL lines showing ugly lates.  Yours are more recent than mine, but still, they are there.  GW, GW, GW.  Plead, and cry.  Keep making all payments on time. If the info is accurate and you didn't have a retroactive forebearance, etc. there may not be a whole lot you can do.  At least that is what I have found so far.  Maybe SL experts can help us both out.

The Good:

Keep the good going with low, low utilization.  It doesn't matter so much now if only one card shows a balance, but as you get closer to application time it is best to have only one card with a balance and that balance to be under 10%.  Do you have an installment loan showing--I forgot since I started writing this, lol.  If not, I'd try to get a small loan, even if secured, and be making payments to help with the credit mix.

My goal is to be in a new house by Christmas 2017.  I'll send you  a card at your new address Cat LOL
