The above link has a link for the optoutprescreen.com site. It's great if you want to stop the CRAs from selling your info to whomever. It doesn't stop baddies from appearing, but it does prevent CAs, who are already subscribing to your reports without your knowledge, from receiving notice that you are applying for a mortgage. CAs like to appear at mortgage time because they figure you have $$$ for the down payment.
