Overdrawn bank account - what kind of debt?

I'm trying to clear up a few very small items on my CR.

One of them is a CA reporting an overdrawn bank account - I didn't even realize it was an issue until I just started working on my credit recently. I thought when we moved we had closed the account and had a zero balance, but apparently not.

I'm trying for PFDs on all of these things on my account, but I don't know what type of debt this would be. Is it a contract, open account, etc? I need to know if SOL is over so I can use that as leverage to press for a PFD.

I've seen a few threads about this on various boards, but no definitive answer.

Check your state statutes to be certain. But, since you usually sign something when opening the account, I'd say written.

Re: Overdrawn bank account - what kind of debt?

I know that you mentioned that you moved, so this may not apply, but I wrote to bank and got a letter back when I had an overdrawn account.  It said if I paid, it would remove and give me a chance to reopen my checking account, which I did (I was operating without one).  It was worth it to get it off, even though I may not bank there forever.
