I have two small collections accounts ($35 & $65) that I really just want to be done with.
Can I email my PFD request? Is there an issue with doing this?
Update: I decided to try my hand at emailng and it worked for at least one of the collections, ARS Collection.
I received my letter of deletion and PIF letter today!
YASSSSS! Where is that Staples EASY button??
I don't see why that would be an issue, if they agree it is legally binding and in writing.
That's true! I think I'm going to do it. Thanks!
I would send it certified mail. That way they have to sign for it and you have confirmation that they have received it and you have a paper trail as well. When doing a PFD I would not suggest that you send it via Email.
A PFD offer is simply an offer.
It has no legal obligation for any reply, and no need to confirm the date of offer.
There is no compelling reason for proof of date of receipt.
I would keep it informal until you have a confirmed agreement.
Thanks Robert!

Well it worked for at least one of them so far!!
I guess I'm not adding much here, but I've had two PFD attempts, both successful. I found the right people to email (CEOs in both cases).
Congrats!!
