PFD Letter Midland

I am about to PFD Midland, they had offered $607 settlement on a $1013 account last month to which i didnt respond (i didnt know better). Now I'd like to send them this as a PFd. Please tell me what you think/critique my letter:

Dear Sir/Madam:

This letter is in reference to the above mentioned account.

I wish to save us both time and enter a win-win agreement; I am ready to promptly send a payment for $615.00 which is more than the settlement offer you made to me if you agree to immediate deletion of this account from any and all credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion). The purpose of this settlement is merely to have this item removed from my credit files and is not to be understood as an acknowledgement of this debt.

I believe this is the simplest and fastest way to resolve this matter as it simultaneously satisfies both your interests and mine. If you agree to the above terms, please respond on your company letterhead agreeing to the same terms as the above settlement offer and have it signed by an authorized representative of your agency. I will immediately send payment of $610.00 to Midland Funding, LLC in the form of a cashier’s check.

Please address all correspondence regarding this account to:

Re: PFD Letter Midland

Let us know how you make out, or if they even respond.  I've had zero luck getting Midland to respond to ANYTHING (and now they've let SOL expire -- fools!), and I've always heard that most creditors will take either a PFD or a settlement for cents-on-the-dollar . . . and not both??  I thought we're supposed to offer PFD's at full-debt price, but I'd love to see if that's not correct!

Re: PFD Letter Midland

I'd also like to see if this works for you.  I have a PFD letter out to Midland, sent on 10-11-13 and have heard nothing back.  I offered to pay in full for the deletion.  I just received a 30 point jump for a deletion so I would really like for this one to be deleted given that it's the most recent.

Good luck!  Keep us informed. Smiley Happy

Pigeyex and Nibbles Treat,

I'll keep you guys posted. Hopefully they respond favorably. I dont wanna do it over the phone with them, I dont trust them. On an different note I was able to get 2 of the CA to PFD, EOS CCA and AMCA (for Labcorp). So waiting to see how my score will be affected.

Re: PFD Letter Midland

Hello guys,

I haven't posted anything in months but have been lurking very frequently. I finally ended sending the following letter.

I did add somewhere that I a was aware that SOL had expired and that  it was the best options of both party. Very strangely they deleted without ever responding to my PFD. I never had to pay anything. It was my most recent collection. I now have another one with FCO (which I paid in January), another paid medical bill and an unpaid collection for WE energies from 2007-8 which only appeared in 2010. I might just leave it alone.

In the end Midland deleted but I feel like it's not because I did anything since I didn't have to pay or anything... So I'm not sure what to tell you guys...
