Re: PFD Q&A, Examples, and PFD Success Stories

I went back and forth with Portfoloio Recovery and they eventually deleted my account and refunded my payment.

Re: PFD Q&A, Examples, and PFD Success Stories

Thanks to this forum I learned about the PFD letter and faxed one to NCO Financial and within 3 days the collection was removed from all three bureaus.  I still haven't heard a word from NCO but I'm still going to send them the money I said I would in my letter

can you message me your copy of the dispute letter.and more of an explantion on what you did and how it all worked out. I agree that paying these in full is stupid when they bought the debt for pennies on the dollar

Re: PFD Q&A, Examples, and PFD Success Stories

I'm brand new to credit repair and I'm going to try my hand at a PFD. It's a medical collection for $102 to Marigold Financial. It's a joint debt with my husband, and it's reporting on both of our credit reports. How would I change the PFD letter to ask for it to be removed from both of our reports in exchange for full payment?
