BTW. if you pull your free reports from annualcreditreport.com, the equifax report will list DoFD instead of an estimated removal date - its about the only thing those monkeys do the right way!

That's the odd part. I pulled from annualcreditreport.com a couple times, and saved the reports to have the info for the collectors. Both reports didn't list a dofd, just the date the account would report through.

If you cant locate the DOFD from credit reports you obtain, then you can file a request with the CRA for that information.

 

FCRA 609(a) permits a consumer to obtain any information of record in their credit file, which includes the DOFD.

Requests under section 609(a) require accompanying proof of identity,  and the required processing fee, which is currrently $11.00.
