I did a pay for delete agreement with Professional Debt Mediation in April of 2011. The account was deleted from all 3 CRAs after agreement was completed.
I been having issues with Equifax not updating account information, missing accounts, etc...
I just received an updated Equifax file and this PFD Collection is back on there and "updated" 1/2012.
Why would this happen? Even though this acocunt was deleted somehow it has been lingering somewhere deep in Equifax database? Should I dispute with Equifax or contact PDM and remind them of our agreement?

I would start with PDM. They may have "accidentally' re-reported this. I would remind them of the PFD agreement and send a copy of that agreement.
Could this be caused by a split file, MarineVietVet? Seems like I'm hearing more and more about them on EQ lately (including my own), so I'm wondering if their systems have had a wake-up call and merged a bunch of files?
It could be split, yes. It has been before. This just stinks, because I had no idea which file creditors will see if I have an inquiry run. I may wait 30 days and go into my credit union and ask for a CL increase and see what they see.

I guess it might be possible. The more I learn about credit the less I know.

Soooo true MarineVietVet...soooo true
I am sure the file will change yet again, I just tried to view it online and I got this message:

As I wrote the other day, Equifax sent me my credit report dated March 5, 2012 in the mail. I was happy to see all of my accounts updated to reflect balances and information up to February 2012. I was also happy to see that Equifax was now showing all of my missing accounts, including 2 AU credit cards.
The bad thing was 2 old collection accounts that were deleted in early 2011, were BACK on the file.
Was happy to see bankruptcy from 2005 gone and all inquires gone.
Just now I was able to view my credit file online for March 10, 2012. All of the updated acocunts sent in the mail are now showing information from October/2011. Many of my accounts are missing again. The credit inquires and bankruptcy is back. The collections are gone again.
Why do I have 2 different credit reports with different information? What the heck is going on and how do I fix this? Anyone know?
