PFD for AFNI

Hey guys i got a collection for TMobile which AFNI took over for $696, i just called them stating that i will pay in full for deletion, and he said the best they can do is just put paid in full, will that help me get my score up for buying a house? or do i need to keep trying to get it deleted? please help, and also i seen other people stating that they were able to pay less then the amount asked and got it deleted, what are the steps as in doing that also? much appreciated! thanks!

it would not increase unless you get it deleted. A paid collection is scored the same as a collection with a balance. I just paid AFNI a settlement of$50 on account that had $322 balance. I emailed the recovery email address to ask for GW deletion but never got a response and I also called and they stated they will not deletet. So I checked my CR a week later and it was removed from a 3 bureaus.

AFNI is generally very good about deleting paid collections.   They usually decline PFDs, but will quite frequently GW delete after payment.

Thanks guys! how do i settle to pay for less? i want to get this taken care of then send a GW since the PFD doesnt seem to be working for me right now
