PFD letter question.

Hello all, and thank you in advance to anyone that offers advice. My gf went through a rough time financially before we met. Overwhelmed by medical bills... which in turned left her in extreme financial hardship. She has since steadied the ship, and is now trying to pay off old debt, and rehab her credit score. She recently received an offer to settle a collection on an old credit card debt. Can anyone advise us on what would be the proper weay to structure a PFD letter under these circumstances? Thank you all!!

Re: POD letter question.

Do you mean PFD? Pay For Delete? If so there are lots of examples on the forum just do a quick search.

Re: POD letter question.

It's easy - make them write in a letter an agreement that if you pay, they will delete it from all 3 credit reports and never report it again. But don't pay until they agree to this in writing.
