Re: PFD on CC any luck with these???

OK if they won't do a PFD will it Help to pay them so that they show as paid

or does a Paid profit and loss/ writeoff/ collection all count the same anyway?

I am trying to deal with:

First Bank of Delaware
First Premier
HSBC
Jefferson Capital
KCA Financial
and 2 small local CA's

again any advice is GREATLY appreciated

Re: PFD on CC any luck with these???

If paid, it will score the same as far as FICO. BUT if unpaid the balance on OC will count against UTIL. So you might get some points for paying in that situation.

On manual review, it will look much better. Also gives you a chance, however small, of GWing them.

More than likely, the First Premier is being including in util. Being that the account is reported by the OC, I would pay it.

Is Jefferson Capital a CA?

Re: PFD on CC any luck with these???

Yes Jefferson Capital is a CA and if I remember reading correctly

according to one of the threads they are being Sued by the FDIC and the FTA

That's why I am hoping they will do a PFD

I've had no luck at all with HSBC. I have lates on an HSBC Card and also on an HSBC Auto account, and I've been working on them for 8 months now with no success. I haven't given up yet, though. I'll keep sending the letters until the late payments are removed or I get a restraining order!

There is a thread on here...about success with HSBC...there are 4 addresses...that the GW letter were sent to...the people had no idea which address work...but one did...I have tried the addresses...with no luck...I don't think they do PFD at all...but if paid...they may accept a GW letter...
