What's the best way to send these? Email, hand written letter, or typed?
I would never send a hand-written letter - quite honestly, they are too difficult to read and may not always be taken very seriously. I would type up your letter and then send it in the mail or email it. And actually, I would probably do both in hopes that someone who receives it will reply!
Thank you.
Email is great & free - but if you have personal info in your GW letter then you might want to send smail mail.
I always try them all, I Fax, Snail mail, Call, Email, I do them weekly until I get results, there is NO best way, there is only the way the worked for you for that specifc creditor, so try them all. Some creditors block all mail and just send out standard letters, but will respond to emails, there is no way of knowing the individual practices of each creditor, so try everything!
But dont send SSN or account numbers through the fax or emails, I would only give those in snail mail or over the phone.
I just sent 2 emails out today to the CEO's of my creditors because I wasnt getting results with anyone else.
