PFDs / medical bill / American Collections (CA) - what's the best strategy?

No, I understand that it is on your CR. 

I guess you don't understand what I am saying.

If you pay the OC and the OC takes the account back from the CA, the CA can no longer report and has to remove it from your CR.

If the CA does nothing after the account is paid up, and I assume they will not do anything, is there a specific route I'll need to take to get it remove from my report?

If you pay the OC and the recall the account from the CA, the CA should have it removed.  I would give them a few weeks and see what happens.

If it is still there, contact the OC again.
