I want to split this topics off on its own from my other life issues, since it's something I'm very unsure of.
I have a Verizon Charge off from 6 years ago next month, paid obviously. It only reports on EQ and TU. Do I...

Bump, looking for some veteran opinions. My main fear is having it added on to EX when it's not reporting there at the moment.

I was in the same situation, but had more time until it fell off. I got the CO off, did drop a little in AAoA but had about a 40 point bump. I wouldn't worry about it showing up on EX after a GW. I think they would either delete or just leave it alone. YMMV of course, but that's my take on it.
It shouldn't even affect my AAoA if it's gone, it would stay above 5 years if that account was excluded. I guess it's worth a shot...one less major derog on the books.

Oh the tangled web we weave!
So, in finally doing more research on this account, I may be further boned. It turned out I didn't pay Verizon, the OC, like I had assumed. Apparently I paid Chase Receivables, a CA. I was hoping I might be able to buy some leverage with Verizon for having paid them, but I never did. Working with their customer relations department now to try and goodwill them. The good news is that I don't have a collections account from Chase Rec on my report, not sure why, but not arguing either.

After an hour on the phone, they were unable to help me at the Internal Collections department both by front line CSR (obviously) and by supervisor (still pretty expected). I asked for executive customer relations contact info, which they said they can't give out (which is funny because it's easily googled) but they submitted a case for me to be called by the executive relations team. I'm hoping this route will gain me more traction, since I put the leg work into actually working my way through front line to get to them.

Persistence. Keep at it!

You are doing well. I concur that I don't think there is a chance of it being added to the other report. I would say follow the money. Whoever actually "owned" the debt when it was settled should be in a position to negociate with or to convince to have it removed. I am in a similar situation. (See Boa letter elsewhere on this site.) Money talks so maybe see if you can pay a little more to have it removed from your reports. I'm not sure exactly how it would work but persistence, friendliness and asking for what you want could pay off for you. Maybe try and offer them to pay like 50 more to cover their transactions would work. They could think that is a kind gesture on your part to help to pay their transaction costs. Its probably no money out of the person at the Ca's pocket to get it removed and your friendliness and persistence might convince that person to help you out. Its always worth a try because it is indeed within their power to remove the debt and it has been settle so you are not askin. Jg too much to have them remove it. Keep trying. I just had my newest credit card appear on my credit reports and it improves my credit picture (in my opinion ) so im gonna go back for recon on the cards I was denied for recently. its always worth a try. Just don't wanna risk too many hard pulls for nothing.
ps you have a nice credit mix with the amex gold. you are a bit ahead of me in the game here for sure.. good luck...
