Paid Collection

I have a question.  I have a collection showing only on my TransUnion credit report.  It lists it as a $0 balance, paid Jan. 3, 2003.  But the reported date states May 6, 2008??  I know I checked my FICOs last year and the year before and this collection used to be on all my reports.  I am glad to see it off at least some of them.  But why the new report date?  And why hasn't it disappeared off this report if it's off the others?

What is the DOFD being report.  If you paid it is 2003 was that near the DOFD or was it way after.  The account can stay on for 7 to 7.5 years.

You should have a fall off date if not contact TU and ask them the compliance date.
