Check your court records and see if these are "STIPULATED JUDGMENTS." - which i understand, many of the medical and small collection judgments are.
If so, then they are not like a regular judgment.
They can be deleted from your reports and the public record as long as you get a "Satisfaction of judgment" from the party that got the judgment against you.
Hi Booner, What do you mean by "stipulated judgment"? How do you find out if it is or not? Thanks
A stipulated judgment is a judgment that stipulates you pay and they don't sue you, I guess. It's a quicky and easy version of a real and true judgment. And I'm no lawyer and what I learned about them was through getting my judgment vacated that I thought was a real and true judgment but was really a stipulated judgment, that I still didn't know was a stipulated judgment until not long ago when the CA and I finally came to an agreement of sorts, to get all the crap off my reports.
I, imagine, LG, that since you and I (i think it's you, right?) have the same CA - that yours is a stipulated judgment, too. PCS had me believing ALL THAT TIME it was a real judgment, even though it was paid, knowing I needed it off my reports for the house.
I'm sure that the name for "real judgment" is not "real judgment."
Hope some of this makes sense - I had a coupla drinks.
Booner, I have 2 judgments... 1 that's been paid since 2007 which I'm trying to get vacated now and 1 that popped up at the end of last year. (I'm currentl paying on that one) I also did a DV with PCS for 4 accounts and they verified each one so I'm paying them off too. I could NOT get a PFD with them and didn't want to be sued so I'm paying them off with monthly payment arrangements. Thanks for responding
Check and see if it says "stipulated judgment" on it. If so, it's gone.
could a get a copy also
