I have a lien from 2007 that was paid off in 2009. It is still showing on my credit report, but the report doesn't state that it was paid. Is this normal, or do I need to dispute to reflect that it has been paid?
Did the party ever update the recordation to show that it was paid?
If the lien has not been recorded as having been satisfied, a dispute will most likely simply result in CRA verification based on a quick pull of the public record.
