Looking good!
@Anonymous wrote:p.s. for anyone wondering: the scores my lender pulled today are identical to the mortgage scores I got from myFICO.com. All 3, down to the point.
Yep! Ins't it great that you can now see your actual mortgage scores before you make a mortgage application??? Love it!
I finally got the specific credit alert related to paying off that cc: + 3 points. I'm still trying to piece together why my report took a nosedive immediately after making the payment (the algorithm maybe needed to balance the payment out with other changes to my report).
So yeah. I diverted precious savings in the months before closing on a home to pay off a cc, to gain a measly 3 points haha.
Oh well...in the end, my scores will have gone up an average of around 50 points since I found this forum and was told I couldn't qualify for a loan. Thanks to this forum I got what I needed to qualify for my loan in 2 months and that's worth a lot more to me than a few expensive FICO points.
