Paid but Current Status is 120 days past due??? HELP

There is an account on my EQ from GTE SW showing a $0 balance, account closed by consumer, paid collection, but current status is 120+ days past due.

I've called GTE (Verizon) they say it's paid but was purchased by CBCS. That CA is not on my report. What do I do?

Update: I've found out that CBCS thinks it's still unpaid.

Jaded, you need to send them a GW letter. You can find an example by searching GW or Goodwill letter. Also, there are some in the Frequently Requested Threads sticky.

The reason it shows that is likely b/c it was 120 days p.d. when you paid it off. Always remember to bring the account current before paying it off. Those past dues in the status are killers.
