Paid capital one collection, can it be deleted?

I think i asked this question before more or less

I just paid a 645.00 c/o from capital one this debt never went to a CO. They sold to a local collection law firm that served me so instead of n new judgement of such a low amount i paid it. My question is will capital one delete the TL if i dispute with the CB's? From what i read is that is it goes to a CA they might delete. This debt is only listed on my CR as owing Capital One.

What's the basis of your dispute?

Are you sure that they sold the debt to the attorney? They might have retained the debt, and just asked that company to handle the collections side of it. Does it show as a debt / judgment, etc on your credit report, and also as an open debt with Cap One?
