Paid for delete

If an account in collections is a joint accout (on both husband/wives credit report), and I pay the account off and it's agreed that it'll be removed, does it get removed off both reports or just the name in which I contacted them to make the deal with? Thank you!

A PFD is a separate contract between the party who sends the request and the creditor or debt collector.

If the offer is sent by only one party, the contract would apply only to that party.

If the offer is sent under the name of both parties, it would apply to both.

I would not send two separate letters, I would send one letter with the condition of deletion of reporting to both credit reports.
