Hello everyone,
I know that there are a lot of threads about medical collections and how to get them deleted. Mine is slightly different though. Today I called the hospital that turned over a medical bill to a collection agency three years ago. I paid them in full and they accepted the payment. After making the payment I asked if it had been turned over to collections even though I knew it had, And the representative said yes but that she was able to make the payment to CA through their computer? I then asked about deleting the CA report and was of course told they could not.
I asked for the CA's name, phone number, and address and the representative gave me a difference CA than is listed on my credit reports. I'm now thinking that I should maybe just dispute the CA on my reports on the grounds of the hospital told me a different collection agency had my account?
Or should I send a DV?
Or should I just wait for the payment to post and send a goodwill letter asking them to delete?
Thanks in advance!!
