Paid off Charge off for less then amount due effect on credit

I just paid off an AMEX CC account for 1/2 of the amount due. How long does this negatively effect my credit & score?

The CO becomes excluded no later than 7 years plus 180 days from the DOFD on the accoumt that immediately preceded the CO.

You can request the creditor to delete that derogatory reporting prior to that time.
